Driving with Lennon

Back in June we saw Lennon having his first experience of powered mobility and starting his journey towards independent mobility.

Since then Lennon has been working very hard, and, with help from specialist therapists and teaching staff, has come a long way!

Lennon has progressed from using a powered platform, (a system to convert a non-powered wheelchair developed by our in-house engineer) which he controlled using switches.

As you can see Lennon has now progressed to driving a powered chair, which he is learning to control with a joystick.

He particularly enjoys exploring different terrains, including popping bubble wrap and tin foil but his favourite by far is knocking over the tower of presents!
